The 2nd Annual Music Pipeline International Songwriting Competition

The Music Pipeline Songwriting Competition is searching for emerging talent worldwide and prepares songwriters for introduction to the entertainment industry, with an emphasis on placement in film, television, and video games. Presented by leading screenwriter discovery platform Script Pipeline, the contest continues a 16-year tradition of advancing the careers of creative professionals and connecting them with Hollywood. What Script Pipeline has done for writers, including alumni who have sold over $6 million in projects to studios, Music Pipeline aims to do for musicians.The Grand Prize winner of Season 2 receives exposure to influential music supervisors and entertainment executives.

Submission

All genres accepted from entrants worldwide. Artists must submit an MP3 of their song by secure file upload, or by providing a link to the song hosted on SoundCloud, ReverbNation, YouTube, etc. Submissions will be judged on their commercial viability, creativity, production quality, arrangement, lyrics (if applicable), and by our general impression of the composition. Every entrant will be included in our exclusive song library available for industry review and license consideration and receive a follow-up email with notes on their entry.

Industry Judges

Our industry panel is comprised of Hollywood producers, managers, and music supervisors who are in need of music for upcoming projects. Some of their notable works include:

Selection Process

Judging begins after the September 1st final submission deadline where a group of semi-finalists will be selected by Music Pipeline staff, and then reviewed by our industry judges. Bands/Groups are considered a single entrant regardless the number of members. One Grand Prize winner and three runner-up finalists will be selected based mainly on their potential for material license and placement in visual media.
